Wendy Huinck, PhD, is associate professor Hearing & Implants at the department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck surgery of the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen. She graduated in 1998 in Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and General Linguistics at the University of Nijmegen, and completed her PhD degree in medical science in 2006. She is responsible for the development of the adult hearing care of the Otorhinolaryngology Head & Neck surgery department and for the indication procedure of the adult cochlear implantation patients. Her interest in implantable hearing aids, specifically cochlear implants, has led to clinical work and research projects, including supervising PhD- and master students and to presentations at international meetings on cochlear implants.
