Lilly is a dedicated pediatrician specialized in infectious diseases and immunology. Her primary focus centers on translational research, with a keen interest in exploring the mucosal immune system of the respiratory tract among vulnerable pediatric populations globally. Alongside her research, Lilly remains committed to delivering high-quality care to patients, both in The Netherlands and abroad. For four months each year, she is based in South Africa and the Caribbean part of the Dutch Kingdom. Additionally, Lilly serves as a consultant for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). Aligned with her global health expertise, at the Radboudumc in Nijmegen, she runs an outpatient travel and vaccination clinic. Here, she offers specialized services such as travel advice for chronically ill children and personalized vaccination recommendations for children on immunosuppressant drugs.
