TMS-VRS-C Course will take 8 days, with an exam on the final day. TMS-VRS-D Course will take 3 full and two half days, with an exam on the final day.

The course is intended for labaratory staff and students who work with open radioactive sources. There are no further admission requirements.

On request, accreditation will be requested for laboratory technicians and analysts.

When canceling 14 or more days in advance, you will be charged a € 50 administration fee. When cancelling less than 14 days in advance, you will not receive a refund.

About the course set-up and the use of radiation in research
Lectures:
About radioactive decay and characteristics of ionizing radiation; shielding and detecting ionizing radiation; counting statistics; research methods with ionizing radiation; external radiation and internal contamination dosimetry and the effects of radiation; risk-analysis, supervision and legislation.
Practicals:
Safe working with radionuclides, detection and decontamination, supervising the radionuclide laboratory, visiting various research facilities at the Radboudumc and Radboud University
