A new face at the Radboud Biobank!

My name is Mariël van den Brand, I am 37 years old and live with my husband and two children in Sint-Michielsgestel a village near ‘s-Hertogenbosch. I’m not new in this establishment because I have worked for the past 12 years as a research technician at the Radboud Center for Mitochondrial Medicine. Some may know me already because I was seconded to TML. After a difficult year I felt it was time for a new step in my career which I found in the function of process coordinator at the Radboud Biobank. I follow up Tessa Peters in this position.
I'm excited and hope that my knowledge and experience will help me to reach my goals to improve the laboratory processes of the Radboud Biobank. I am present on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and always available by email. Besides work and taking care of my children I play Tennis, like to ski and swim a little. At the weekends we love to go out to visit friends, go to a museum or discover nature. I’m looking forward to a great collaboration with my new colleagues but also with everyone who makes use of the services of the Radboud Biobank.
