Global health and infectious diseases

Reinout van Crevel's research group studies patients in Europe, Asia and Africa to understand pathogenesis and to improve clinical management.

Global health economics

Rob Baltussen's research group is active in international health systems research and in particular in health benefit package design, informed by health technology assessment (HTA). In this, the group supports Ministries of Health in a range of low, middle and high income countries.

Infectious diseases and global health

Rob Arts's research group investigates how modulation of the immune system can be used as a therapy for various infectious diseases, with HIV and its immunological complications as a main example.
