Preparing for your CT scan

Pregnancy

If you are pregnant or if you think you might be pregnant, please contact your attending physician. We will decide, in consultation with you and the radiologist, whether the procedure can be carried out or whether it should be postponed or replaced with an alternative procedure.

Clothing

It is more convenient for you and our employees if you wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that is easy to slip on and off. Depending on the type of procedure, you may be asked to remove clothing that contains metal.

Disability

If you have a disability for which you may require more time or attention during the procedure, please let us know in advance. We will take this into consideration as much as possible.

Change of process

Very occasionally, the radiologist will suggest injecting the contrast solution intravenously. In this case, we will first ask you a series of questions (e.g. whether you're allergic to contrast dye) before inserting the IV.
