Health Valley invites healthcare providers who are active in cure and/or care, to submit projects before February 1, 2021, in which care is brought closer to their own living environment by means of technology, with the aim to continue to function independently for a longer period of time. A multidisciplinary jury will evaluate all applications. The most promising project will receive the prestigious prize and the amount of € 15,000 associated with it. The award ceremony will take place on March 10, 2021, during the virtual Health Valley Event.
Bridge between care institution and entrepreneur
The name of the award refers to the bridge it builds between a care institution and an entrepreneur to make innovations possible together. René Penning de Vries, Chairman of the Board of Health Valley: "The current crisis has taught us more than ever how important good care is. Accessible and available to everyone. Building on the involvement of professionals and using relevant innovations. The Health Valley Bridge award supports the bridge between the worlds of care and technology and thus contributes to a continuously more powerful care system".
The professional jury
The judging will be done by a panel of 5 people that is composed of the Health Valley partner network. What will the jury pay attention to? Jorrit Ebben, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer of Academy het Dorp is chairman of the jury and is also co-sponsor of this award and stimulates innovations in healthcare. Within Academy het Dorp they feel that technology deserves a better place within long-term care. That is why they transform ideas into sustainable and scalable technologies. They always do this together with experience experts and on the basis of a result-oriented approach.
